Bayou Region Foster & Adoptive Parent Association
& the
River Parish Foster & Adoptive Parents Association host the
1st Annual Back to School Bash
has been rescheduled until July of 2020
Peltier Park – Thibodaux
Our 1st Annual Back to School Bash is set for summer of 2020! The theme, “Mess Fest” promises a great time for our local foster youth and their families. Ideal for the kids as well as the parents who just want to act like kids, our outdoor event will feature all things cluttered, chaotic and untidy, from a massive food fight to a large-scale finger-painting and even a whipped cream pie smash and an egg toss. But don’t worry we will have a “car wash” zone for rinse off. The event is designed to allow foster families and their children to break free from the ordinary, sometimes painful and exhausting demands of their daily lives and instead focus all of their energy on the fun. Good messy fun! For more information or to become a sponsor, send us a message at
**** Attendees MUST be either certified foster, kinship, or adoptive families or you must be registered to take upcoming classes to become certified. Given the nature of the event, Mess Fest attendees are encouraged to wear old clothes that they don’t mind getting dirty or stained, torn or damaged, just in case! Make sure you bring an extra set of clothing, shoes, and a towel! All parents will be required to sign a waiver to participate.
